A query entered into a third-party search tool is sent to the provider operating that tool. Barry County Court Docket does not maintain a database of queries, court results, or names submitted through those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends correspondence, the information in that correspondence may be retained to respond and manage the communication. It is not sold as a list of court-record information.
Data We Gather Automatically
Web hosting and analytics services may receive technical information associated with a visit, such as an IP address, browser and device details, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, and general usage information.

What We Do With This Data
Technical and communication data may be used to operate, secure, improve, and troubleshoot the service; to direct a search request to its provider; to understand aggregated use; and to meet a valid legal obligation. It is not used to create a court-record database or a consumer report.
No Court-Record Data on File
Barry County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Barry County case files or personal court-record data. Official court records remain with the court or clerk that is their custodian. Public case information is subject to Michigan court rules, including MCR 8.119 and MCR 1.109, rather than this site’s privacy policy.
Third-Party Search Partners
Third-party search providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Their data practices, retention periods, charges, and results are outside the control of Barry County Court Docket. Review the provider’s policy before submitting information.

Links may lead to Barry County, City of Hastings, Michigan judiciary, court, clerk, or third-party pages. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s terms and privacy practices apply. Some advertising providers may measure activity on their own systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Limited visitor information can be processed by hosting, analytics, search, advertising, or service providers that help operate the site. Information may also be disclosed when required by a valid legal process. Barry County Court Docket does not sell personal data.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information handled by the service. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure, so visitors should avoid sending sensitive personal or case information through ordinary contact channels.
Users Under 18
The service is not directed to children. It does not knowingly seek personal information from a person under 18. Information believed to have been submitted by a child may be removed where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Visitors may ask about information that was voluntarily provided in correspondence, request correction of inaccurate contact information, or request deletion where applicable. Michigan court-record access is different: MCR 8.119 governs access to judicial case records, and MCR 1.109 governs protected identifying information in court filings. A county administrative FOIA request does not replace the court-record process.
